Hans Zimmer è senza dubbio il compositore più importante in attività a Hollywood oggi.
Le sue musiche hanno segnato il cinema d’azione degli ultimi venti anni andando a rendere indimenticabili film come Il Gladiatore o la trilogia del Batman di Christopher Nolan, ma anche saghe come quella de I pirati dei Caraibi e capolavori del cinema di genere come The Rock, Last Samurai e i due Sherlock Holmes.
Vincitore di un Oscar (premio cui è stato nominato otto volte…), due Golden Globe, tre Grammy e un Tony (l’Oscar del teatro americano) Zimmer ha composto oltre cento colonnne sonore in oltre un quarto di secolo di lavoro per il grande schermo.
