“Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale” è il titolo del disco che ha inciso Eric Clapton per omaggiare JJ Cale il cantautore scomparso un anno fa. L’album, uscito a luglio 2014, è subito entrato nella top ten di iTunes Italia.
“Vorrei che le persone entrassero nel mondo di JJ Cale, questo è il punto. Sono solo il messaggero, ho sempre saputo che questo era il mio lavoro. Cerco di interpretare le cose in modo che possano raggiungere un pubblico sempre più vasto o almeno un pubblico fatto di persone che vogliano ascoltare quello che faccio” ha raccontato Clapton, che ha sempre ammirato il lavoro del musicista messicano.
